C-Ceramica — Abuja Showroom

The Abuja showroom project was a mix of design, technical coordination, production management, and remote execution. Working with the C-Ceramica Lagos team, I was responsible for developing the visual and technical system for the VitrA sanitaryware display stands, making sure every individual display worked both aesthetically and practically once the physical products were installed.

My Role

Showroom Display & Installation Planning

  • Developed installation guides for each bathroom-set display, using the relevant VitrA installation manuals and product specifications as the technical reference.
  • Mapped the placement of individual sanitaryware components — from sinks and basins to taps, cabinets and other fixtures — against the graphic layouts of each display stand.
  • Planned the relationship between the physical products and the printed graphics so that product information and key visual elements would remain visible once the sanitaryware was installed.
  • Ensured that the individual stands worked together as one cohesive showroom experience, rather than feeling like disconnected displays.

Graphic & Backdrop Design

  • Oversaw the design of the graphic backdrops for the display stands, including the integration of short product descriptions and specifications intended to help customers understand the products on display.
  • Reviewed and refined the layouts based on the exact dimensions and installation positions of the physical sanitaryware.
  • Managed client review and approval of the final backdrop designs.
  • Worked closely with a graphic designer who supported me with the technical implementation, artwork preparation and production-ready files.

Production & Print Management

  • Coordinated the production of the final graphics in Beirut, Lebanon, for shipment to Abuja.
  • Liaised between the graphic designer and printing house throughout the production process, reviewing files and resolving technical requirements before printing.
  • Worked around the size limitations of vinyl printing by strategically splitting large-scale designs into multiple sections.
  • Planned the splits carefully so that seams would fall in visually appropriate areas rather than through important text, product information or key design elements.
  • Oversaw the preparation, numbering and labelling of the printed pieces so the installation team in Abuja could easily identify where every section belonged.

Remote Installation Execution

  • Developed detailed installation documentation for the on-ground team, including numbered print sections and placement instructions.
  • Structured the installation process so that the Abuja team could execute the full installation remotely without requiring me or the design team to be physically present.
  • Anticipated potential installation issues in advance by accounting for the physical dimensions, product placement, vinyl limitations and relationship between the graphics and sanitaryware.

The result was a showroom system that connected the physical VitrA products with the visual communication around them — from the initial technical specifications and artwork through to printing, shipping and final on-site installation.
